There are a total of 13 champion monsters in Dead Island Riptide. Finding and killing all of them will earn you the "Hunter-Seeker" trophy or achievement. They are all hidden in small side areas, the "dead zones". The first six can be found in the Flooded Jungle and the remaining seven in Henderson. Defeating the champions will also give you lots of XP and they usually drop some nice weapons.

EG:Polish developer Techland is back, once again utilising its own Chrome Engine 5 to bring Dead Island's lush tropical environments to life. Attractive, expansive and dripping with detail, Riptide is an effective work-out for the bespoke technology, also seeing an increase in overall enemy count and better realising a world overrun by flesh eating monstrosities. The studio has also taken on-board criticism levelled at the first game in other areas: Dead Island Riptide is a noticeable more polished release, with far fewer of the infuriating glitches that previously tarnished the experience. The result is a smoother, more complete journey into the zombie apocalypse.

There are a total of 17 guide book pages in Dead Island Riptide. Finding all of them will earn you the "Professional Tourist" trophy or achievement. In the inventory you can see which collectibles you have already found. They are all numbered and you can identify missing collectibles easily. There is no free roam after the story ends, so you have to collect everything before completing the last chapter.
